Colombo is served by the only international airport of Sri Lanka, Kattunayake. From the airport buses and Taxis are available for the flourishing sea port and capital city of Colombo. For getting around the city, the local public transport network is probably the best. The Buses are the most economical one and are run by both the private and government sectors. The Rapid Transit system is in the planning stages and will be the latest mode of transport in Colombo.
